This is a patient with a post-surgical wound separation of the breast. The wound had no signs of healing after 3 weeks of gauze dressing changes, which the patient described as extremely painful. The wound was debrided and had Curaline foam dressings applied.
Curaline advanced foam dressing in place and changed once every 3 days. Absorption of exudate is contained within the perimeter of the wound, preventing surrounding skin maceration.
One week after starting Curaline foam dressings the wound is over 60% healing with visible epithelialization un-onjured by the non adherence of the dressings. Patient described significant pain reduction over gauze dressings.
